Jojoba has long been a favorite shrub for desert landscapes. This Arizona native is evergreen, extremely tough and durable. Seed-grown jojoba varies widely in mature size and form, and most can reach a size of 6-8 feet tall, especially if ample water is available. 'Vista' is a compact, dense, smaller selection of jojoba, and is vegetatively propagated to maintain these characteristics. Jojoba fruit contain a liquid wax, which is extracted for use in cosmetics and other products. Wildlife also feed on the brown seed.
