Light breezes turn this fine-textured and billowy grass into living sculpture. Mexican feather grass forms a clump of chartreuse thread-like leaves and stems which turns gold in the winter. It is fairly short-lived, but naturalizes in the landscape. These can be invasive in wetter landscapes. Plant in full sun to part shade and provide excellent drainage. Cut back in early spring to remove dormant foliage and dried seed heads.
