Yucca faxoniana (Spanish Dagger, Giant White Yucca)

Yucca faxoniana
Spanish Dagger, Giant White Yucca

Spanish Dagger is native to Mexico. This arborescent (tree-like) yucca is usually single-trunked, although multi-trunk specimens are possible. The size of a mature plant may vary. The stiff, dull green leaves have a dark brown stripe on the margin and fuzzy white fibers peeling from the leaf edge. The branched inflorescence rises above the foliage in the summer, producing creamy white flowers. Plant in full sun and well drained soils.
