Hesperaloe tenuifolia is a densely tufted evergreen plant whose narrow, arching, grasslike leaves can grow close to 3’ long. This plant offsets sparingly and is quite drought tolerant, however if water and fertilizer is applied the plant will grow quickly year-round. This plant enjoys full sun, reflective heat and even partial shade. Be sure to plant in a soil that is welldraining. White flowers occur primarily in April and May and are visited by bats and hawk moths. Originating just northeast of Alamos, Mexico growing among the Oaks and Agave bovicornuta.
