Agave titanota

Rancho Tambor Agave

This medium sized agave is from the Mexican state of Oaxaca where it is found on limestone soils. The rigid, upright 5 inch wide leaves are a pale green with a whitish cast to the surface. It is normally a solitary plant or rarely produces a few offsets. Typical height and width is about 30 inches. Plants may be placed in full sun in cooler climates, but perform well in light shade in the low deserts. The relative hardiness is uncertain but it is at least hardy to 25° F.
