Desert Sweet, Fernbush, Tansy Bush

Native to the western U.S., at elevations of 4000 to 7000 feet, this long-lived shrub is semi-evergreen, with fragrant, light green ferny foliage. A refreshing display of large white flower clusters are produced in the summer. Butterflies and bees are attracted to the lilac-like blossoms. The large brown seed heads may be removed for a cleaner appearance. Plant Fernbush in well-drained soil and full sun exposures in middle and high deserts.
