This small mounding cactus is native to the American Southwest and is often grown for its beautiful flowers, they vary in color from scarlet red to orange red. The flowers turn into edible fruits that are popular among the local wildlife. The Claret Cup is great for beginners and is also deer, rabbit and drought resistant.
