Eremophila pterocarpa (Winged-fruit Emu Bush)

Eremophila pterocarpa
Winged-fruit Emu Bush

Winged-fruit Emu Bush is a larger, evergreen shrub with silver leaves. From the deserts of Australia, this plant can tolerate poor soils, full sun, and reflected heat without a shrug. Plants can reach 6 to 8 feet tall and wide, but can be maintained at a smaller size with some occasional pruning. Salmon-pink flowers will occur through the winter when this plant really stands out from an otherwise dormant landscape.
