This spiney globe cactus is native to the Oaxaca region of Mexico. Known for it's flat licking spines it adds texture to any desert landscape. They stay low to the ground and look lovely planted adjacent to larger barrel cactus to create a stepping stone graduation of sizes. They bloom vibrant variegated pink blossoms on their crowns during spring and summer.
