Larrea tridentata ‘Yuma’ (Upright Creosote Bush)

Larrea tridentata 'Yuma'
Upright Creosote Bush

Upright Creosote Bush was a selection made by our owner Ron Gass many years ago on a trip through Yuma. All of the Creosote in the area are very upright in habit, very different from the usual sprawling natural form. He was so intrigued that he came back to collect seed once it ripened later in the season! These will become thicker and fuller with time, but will rarely exceed about 6 feet in diameter. Just as tough as the regular species, Upright Creosote performs best in full sun with well draining soil, and prefers to be kept on the dry side. Little pruning is necessary since it has such a nice upright form naturally.
