Lycium exsertum
Thornbush, Arizona Desert-thorn, Boxthorn, Littleleaf Wolfberry, Wolfberry

Native to southwestern Arizona and Mexico, this dense, spiny shrub provides excellent cover and food for birds and wildlife. The arching braches and light green leaves are covered with white hairs. Small, light purple flowers in the spring are followed by red berries. Plant in full sun, well-drained soils, and do not prune.
