Muehlenbeckia axillaris (Wire Vine)

Muehlenbeckia axillaris
Wire Vine

This plant's name comes from its winding, wiry stems that sprawl out making it an excellent groundcover - with the added bonus that it will help control erosion on sloping beds. Spring will bring delicate white flowers that mature into matching berries come fall. It can handle poor soil conditions so long as it is kept adiquately watered. It can also cope with limited foot traffic as an attactive filler for garden paths.
