Crimson Flare displays clusters of red flowers in the spring through fall, although the summer heat can bleach them to pink. Hummingbirds feast on their nectar. This clone has outstanding deep green foliage, providing a showy backdrop for the red blossoms. Full sun and reflected heat locations are ideal for this heat-loving shrub. Crimson Flare grows rapidly to a mature size of eight feet tall and wide. Freezing temperatures may burn the foliage, but simply cut plants back hard to rejuvenate in the early spring.
