Joshua tree is one of the iconic plants of the Mojave desert that covers northern Arizona, Nevada, and California. Plants start as single trunks, but will develop many arms with age. Spikes covered in white bell-shaped flowers are produced in the late spring. Joshua tree is tolerant of full sun and extreme drought, but needs well drained soil.
