Teucrium cossonii (T. aroanium) (Gray Creeping Germander)

Teucrium cossonii (T. aroanium)
Gray Germander, Creeping Germander, Aroanian Germander, Mountain Germander, Aroanian Creeping Germander

This stunning, drought-tolerant groundcover from the Mediterranean will grow only a few inches tall and spread a few feet wide. The grey foliage and dark purple flowers are reminiscent of Lavender plants, but this one is much more tough. Grey Creeping Germander grows best in full sun, even in the low deserts of Phoenix. The purple flowers are produced from spring through fall and are a great source of nectar for native pollinators.
